We are very happy that Prof. Dr. Tadeusz Trzaskalik gave a piano concert for the participants of SOR’21. The concert reminded us that science and art go hand in hand.

If you missed his excellent performance at the piano concert during the SOR’21 symposium, you can also find it on YouTube:

SOR’21 – Programme – PRELIMINARY 2021-09-13.pdf

Dear participants of the SOR’21 Symposium,

This year continues with challenges that impose unconventional approaches and activities. Considering the current situation in Slovenia and internationally, the well-being of our participants is our responsibility and priority.

As the situation in the society is still uncertain and not very optimistic about the possibility of physically holding a symposium, we have decided to hold the 16th International Symposium on Operations Research in 2021 to provide a stable and safe holding of a joint event.

The SOR’21 Symposium will be held online, from 22nd till 24th September 2021.

Papers that have successfully passed the review process will be published in the Conference Proceedings, which will be mailed to you by ordinary post after the symposium. This year’s conference proceedings contain 118 contributions on more than 600 pages.

Since the conference will be held online and we have to cover the costs for the online organization and the publication and mailing of the conference proceedings, the registration fee will remain the same. However, registration fees for accompanying persons will be refunded. Please contact sor@um.si regarding this matter.

The program with all details for online participation and presentation will be sent to you no later than September 15, 2021. The program with all necessary details will also be published on our website https://sor.fov.um.si/.

We kindly ask for your understanding. We believe that together we can be successful and efficient and overcome the obstacles arising from the current circumstances. We sincerely hope to meet again in person in 2023.

We look forward to meeting you at the symposium!
